OpenTrack Training   20 - 24 July 2020
Plateway Pty Ltd is the Oceanian, South East Asian, Indian and Southern African distributor of and support organisation for the OpenTrack suite of products
Plateway provide training, advanced training and a user forum for OpenTrack - one of the world’s leading railway simulation software packages. Training is held twice annually, usually in February and July in Sydney or Brisbane. A user forum and advanced training day is held annually. On-site/in-house and customised training solutions can also be arranged. At the end of an OpenTrack training course, participants should be able to:
  • Recognise how operations are replicated in an OpenTrack micro-simulation
  • Have an understanding of the physical and engineering aspects of the railway and how this influences the OpenTrack program architecture
  • Design and build an operating model of a simple railway and run a short simulation.
  • The next scheduled OpenTrack training session is the 20 - 24 July 2020 in either Brisbane or Sydney.

    AusRAIL PLUS 2019   3-5 December 2019, Sydney
    Plateway is excited to again be exhibiting at the premier Australian rail industry conference and exhibition AusRAIL PLUS 2019, the largest rail event in the southern hemisphere. This year's theme is 'Delivering Growth; Creating Opportunity; Embracing Technology' and is to be held at the ICC Sydney in Sydney from the 3 to 5 December 2019.

    NextRail19   12 - 14 September 2019, Zurich
    Plateway is proud to be attending NextRail again, the international rail and mobility conference from the 12-14 September 2019 in Zurich. Drawing an expected crowd of over 250 participants from 20 countries. This year symposium on Agile Models for Railway system planners and managers.

    Phillip Imrie will be presenting on OpenTrack usage in the Southern hemisphere. He will be joined by David Lassen from Queensland Rail who will be presenting about Queensland Rail usage of OpenTrack.
    Plateway at InnoTrans 2018   18 - 21 September 2018, Berlin
    Plateway was proud to be invited again as part of the OpenTrack stand to InnoTrans 2018 in Berlin. Having a successful week visiting old and new OpenTrack users. Plateway has been a regular stall holder at InnoTrans representing the Asia Pacific distributer of OpenTrack.

    InnoTrans the world's leading trade fair for transport technology with over 3000 exhibitors from 61 countries and visited over 150,000 visitors.

    Delegates from Plateway included Phillip Imrie, Amel Tokalic and Alastair Sharpe.

    CORE 2018   30 April-2 May, 2018, Sydney
    Plateway was excited to be an exhibitor at Core 2018, the Conference on Railway Excellence, held in Sydney, on the 30 April -2 May 2018.
    Casino Rail Freight Terminal Seeks Equity Funding   February 2018
    Casino Rail Freight Terminal (www.crft.com.au) announces the release of the CRFT Agri Business Trust Fund which will purchase redeemable preference shares in Casino Rail Freight Terminal.     Platway at nextRail 17 in Lausannne   7-9 September 2017
    Platway has proudly been a regular participant and presenter at nextRail for over 10 years. This year Phillip Imrie Managing Director of Plateway presented a paper on Advanced Freight Train Simulation using OpenTrack alongside David Lassen Manager Network Capability at Queensland Rail who presented on Queensland Rail's OpenTrack Journey as part of the nextRail17 Conference in Lausanne Switzerland.

    The conference attended by over 200 international delegates included a significant number from Australasia. Other presenters at the same forum included world leading transport agencies and consulting firms including the Transport Authority of Paris(RATP) on the modernisation of the RATP Railway network, TTK on the upgrades to the Karlsruhe Tram Train Network.
